R and R Seafood’s extensive menu highlights the freshest catch of the day, masterfully prepared with bold Cajun and Creole influences. Signature dishes like the Crawfish Rockafella entice with tender, spiced crawfish meat enveloped in creamy goodness, while the Raw Oysters on the Half Shell deliver a briny, ocean-fresh burst with every slurp. For those seeking hearty, comforting plates, the Red Beans and Rice and Shrimp Poboy are quintessential Southern staples, bursting with smoky, savory depth and perfectly seasoned seafood.

Adventurous diners will appreciate unique offerings such as the crispy Gator Tacos and the spicy Cajun Oysters, each showcasing the diversity of local coastal fare. Appetizers like the hand-battered, deep-fried jalapeño chips known as Fried Da Pickles add delightfully crunchy, tangy notes to your meal, while steamed options like Snow Crab Legs and Royal Red Shrimp bring pure, natural sweetness from the sea.

Diners rave about the luscious Seafood Gumbo and the skillfully seasoned Blackened Delta Redfish, both dishes rich with complex spices and fresh seafood, creating layers of irresistibly smoky and spicy flavors. The Stuffed Snapper is another standout—the succulent fish filled with a savory crab mixture that melts in your mouth. The Seafood Platter offers an abundant sampling of favorites, ideal for sharing and discovering multiple tastes in one satisfying meal.

No meal is complete without dessert here. The Strawberry Cheesecake Bread Pudding is decadently moist and subtly sweet, a perfect ending that lingers on the palate. Pair your meal with a classic Bloody Mary or a refreshing wine—both options complement the bold seafood flavors beautifully.

Customers consistently praise the attentive service and generous portions that make every visit feel like a true Southern feast. One regular, Heather Lamm, affectionately recalls splitting the $40 seafood platter with her family as a perfect way to unwind after a long trip, while Tina highlights the delightful blueberry bread pudding that keeps her coming back. Though some note the occasional extra crispness on fried items, it never overshadows the overall flavor and quality.

Whether you’re craving the comforting warmth of a Cajun gumbo or the fresh ocean bite of raw oysters, R and R Seafood delivers an authentic taste of Alabama’s Gulf shores with genuine hospitality and bold, memorable dishes. For locals and visitors traveling along Battleship Parkway, this gem offers a flavorful dive into seafood traditions that are both grounded and adventurous.

This was our second time going to this restaurant heading back from a vacation in Florida. The first time being about a year ago becuase we live In Mississippi. My husband and I split the $40 seafood platter which was a great amount for us and my daughter had the crawfish that was $6.99 a pound my youngest had the French fries for $3 she’s my picky one! I also enjoyed 2 glasses of wine which was a great pour at $8 a piece. We ended dinner with the Chocolate Lava Cake for $5.99. My daughter loved it because it was just like Chilis! Our server Dominice was the best service we had all vacation. Ending it on such a positive note! He brought my youngest daughter’s French fries out super fast knowing she was hungry! He always made sure my family had refills and even noticed our paper towels were getting low without us even mentioning it bringing us a new one and had a smile on his face the whole time!

It sort of fits the bill of what you’re asking for if you’re looking at a place like this. Everything is over fried to within an inch of its life but is it good? Yeah it tasted great. Portions are solid for the prices, staff are welcoming and friendly. There’s plenty of seating and parking. No dishes stood out as better than a 7.5, it was all well-cooked, just not great.

Service was excellent, crawfish was very good, and had raw oysters. Then for dessert we had blueberry bread pudding. So delicious. Pricing was great. Would definitely go back if ever in town again!

We ordered the red snapper with beans and hushpuppies, the crab claws, and the blackened shrimp with green beans and hush puppies. All were fantastic and reasonably priced. The bushwacker was also amazing! They are open on Sundays and we just walked in no wait which was really convenient.

Absolutely enjoyed our meal here. Wait was long, but definitely worth it. We had great service from Pam!! We are local and will definitely be back. Crawfish was excellent as were the fried crab claws! The oysters Rockefeller were a hit. Pictured are the Cajun oysters, which were good but the Rockefeller was definitely our favorite!
